A beautifully handcrafted upholstered bench, designed and made in my studio at Willow & Olive Interiors HQ.

The Belgravia is a timeless piece, designed to sit effortlessly within both traditional and modern interiors. With its generous proportions and classic striped upholstery, it works equally well as a statement footstool, coffee table ottoman, or end-of-bed bench.

This particular edition is upholstered in The Pantry Stripe, a distinctive woven fabric featuring a subtle herringbone weave. The texture gives the stripe depth and character, making it far richer than a simple printed stripe. The result is a fabric that adds both colour and tactile interest to a room.

Each piece is individually upholstered by hand and finished with turned wooden legs, creating a beautifully balanced piece that is both practical and elegant.

Fabric

The Pantry Stripe is a heavyweight woven upholstery fabric with a subtle herringbone texture. This construction gives the stripe a soft movement and adds durability, making it ideal for furniture.

• Strawberry Jam – warm heritage red stripe

• Blueberry Jam – classic deep navy stripe

• Liquorice Stick – charcoal grey stripe

Handmade Craftsmanship

Every Belgravia piece is handcrafted using traditional upholstery techniques, ensuring comfort, durability, and a refined finish.

Because each piece is made by hand, subtle variations make every item unique.

Typical lead time: 6–8 weeks

Styling Tip

The Belgravia works beautifully styled as a coffee table ottoman with a tray, books and flowers, or placed at the end of a bed layered with cushions and throws.

Construction & Upholstery

The Belgravia Bench / Footstool is upholstered using a traditional, considered build-up to ensure comfort, durability, and longevity:

• Solid internal construction for strength and stability
• A 4” Thick Superior reflex foam for supportive seating
• Additional foam to the sides for structure and balance
• Layered with Dacron
• Finished with natural wool for fire retardancy
• Upholstered entirely by hand in studio

This process results in a piece designed for everyday use, not purely decorative styling.

Legs & Castors

Each piece is finished with solid turned wooden legs, approximately 200mm high, fitted with castors for ease of movement.
