The Belgravia Bench / Footstool

The Belgravia is a handcrafted upholstered bench designed to be lived with, not simply styled. Its proportions allow it to sit beautifully in bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms, window bays, or at the foot of a bed.

Each piece is made to order in my studio using traditional upholstery techniques, with careful attention to structure, proportion, and comfort.

Upholstery Options

The Belgravia is available in a curated selection of Linwood fabrics, chosen for their heritage influence, richness of colour, and suitability for upholstery.

If you are drawn to a design but would prefer an alternative colourway, all Linwood patterns are available in every colour option currently offered by the manufacturer.

Samples can be arranged prior to ordering to ensure confidence in both tone and texture.

Please note: due to the nature of patterned fabrics, placement will vary slightly on each handmade piece. This variation forms part of the bespoke character.

Construction & Upholstery

The Belgravia is upholstered using a traditional, considered build-up to ensure comfort, durability, and longevity:

• Solid internal construction for strength and stability

• 4” superior reflex foam for supportive seating

• Structured side padding for shape retention

• Layered with Dacron

• Finished with natural wool for fire compliance

• Upholstered entirely by hand in studio

Size & Proportions

The Belgravia Bench / Footstool measures:

52cm width × 102cm length × 45cm height

Proportioned to suit a wide range of interiors without overwhelming a space.

Bespoke lengths, depths, and heights are available upon request. Please enquire prior to ordering to discuss custom sizing.

Legs & Castors

Each piece is finished with solid turned wooden legs, approximately 200mm high, fitted with castors for ease of movement.

Available leg finishes:

• Limed Oak
• Natural Oak
• Stained & Oiled Oak
• Mahogany finish

Castor & Metal Finish Options (Bespoke):

Leg and castor combinations can be specified to complement your chosen upholstery and overall interior scheme.

If you are unsure, guidance is provided after ordering to ensure a cohesive finish.

How to Order

This is a made-to-order bespoke piece.

1. Select your preferred fabric (ticking stripe or velvet) and colour, then place your order through the website.
2. After ordering, you will be contacted to:
   
• confirm final specifications
• answer any questions regarding sizing or fabric
• arrange fabric samples if required

Once all details are confirmed, your bench will move into production.

Delivery & Lead Time

• Lead time: approximately 6–8 weeks from confirmation of all details
• Delivery costs are calculated based on size, weight, and location
• You will be contacted to confirm delivery options and final shipping costs prior to dispatch

• White glove delivery options can also be arranged depending on location.

This ensures safe and appropriate delivery of a handcrafted furniture item.

Coordinating Bespoke Pieces

If you would like to create a coordinated interior scheme, bespoke cushions, curtains, and Roman blinds can also be made to complement your Belgravia Bench / Footstool.

Once production has begun, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded.
